In this 7 minute video from Jeff Foster, a young spiritual teacher from England, we explore a different way of looking at the “negative” thoughts and feelings we try to get rid of. Many teachers speak of “letting go” of these thoughts and feelings but Jeff expresses a different way of looking at them which seems more natural and in line with our true nature.
Thank you for including Jeff in these inspirational videos. What he has to say feels very clear, open and true.
You are very welcome!
This really hit home for me. Thank you so very much Jeff Foster for such beautiful and magical words.
Thank you. Really hear ‘stop the war!’ So supportive .
Beautiful, this reminds me Rumi’s poem The Guesthouse.
Thank you for reminding us about this beautiful poem. I knew of it & it prompted me to reread it again. Precisely what Jeff says.
Rumi: Treat each guest honorably. He may be clearing you out for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice, meet them at the door laughing, and invite them in.
Be grateful for whoever comes, because each has been sent as a guide from beyond.
Jeff makes a lot of sense. Thank you for including him among the presenters. The harder we fight against the feelings/thoughts the stronger they become and cling more tenaciously.
