Gangaji explains that’s its very important to examine when we are “surrendering” or “trusting” our self to see what we are looking to get out of it. If we are looking to get ANYTHING out of it, then we need to take a closer look at what we mean by the “self”.  Looking to get something out of surrendering or trusting is a sure sign that the ego (person) is at helm.

In this 5 minute video, Adyashanti does a great job in describing the imagined self and how we can begin to dismantle it.  Short video, huge message.

Adyashanti speaks on the idea that in order to shed the “person” (ego, mind, personality), we have to let go completely of our “wants” and “don’t wants”.  Because this seems like a very, very scary thing to do is the reason why so few beings can shed their false sense of self. They feel as though if they let go completely, somehow this will mean having to leave everything behind.  This is only a fear from the mind itself and the actuality is really quite different. Adyashanti explains.

In this 9 minute video, Rupert attempts to show us that Happiness is not a state that comes and goes but rather it is there ALL the time. Our experiencing of it depends on the layers of mind “stuff” covering it up much like the clouds that cover a blue sky.

Coming from a world of science and philosophy, Alan offers the same exact description of the true “I” or true “Self” as most of the ancient and modern day spiritual teachers and guides.  There is only the One, the One is All and you (we, I) are all that One.

This 10 minute video by Alan Watts provides some logical insight on the Universe being ONE.  He uses examples to show that what we believe to be inside and what is outside is actually two sides of the same coin. There is no real distinction between the two because there truly is only one. In the world of form, you can not have one without the other.

In this EXCELLENT video, Rupert Spira speaks of TWO approaches to ending suffering. He explains that there is the Vedantic (Self-Inquiry) method or the Tantric (Submerging yourself in the suffering) method. Either method will work and should be experimented with.

In this less than 4 minute video, Adyashanti describes how most people’s base sense of self seems to be seated in the head (or mind), and that in order to live in peace and freedom we need to derive our sense of self, our “base” , from the ground of “being”.

In this nine minute video, Rupert Spira shares his views on what happens after enlightenment (awakening). Most people believe that awakening is the be all, end all of it, but actually Rupert explains that this is when the working through old programming begins.

In this super short 2 minute video, Gangaji shares with us that perhaps the best answer to “What is Enlightenment?” is to actually give up all definitions surrounding the concept of enlightenment.  Great video of this often asked question.

This great 8 minute video from Rupert talks about the mind’s transition from focusing on outward objects as it has done all of its life, to inner focusing which provides peace and joy. This is an ongoing process where it begins to fall in love with the inner self until eventually it prefers to abide in the self more and more.

In this short 7 minute video, Adyashanti clears up some misconceptions about awakening. He also clears up some mystical experiences that are taken to be an Awakening.

Very interesting few minutes to explain that since in reality we are already completely free, there is no need for any “letting go” to take place.  Only the separate self (the mind, ego) is capable of inventing  reasons for letting go.

In this AMAZING video, Rupert explains in super clear language the process from infancy where we are fully merged with the outside world, through the development of the ego, and into the realization of consciousness as the true essence of our reality.

Rupert uses an analogy to plainly demonstrate that there is no such thing as “other”.   We are not all connected as is often said, but in essence we are ACTUALLY the ONE and ONLY.

In this short video, Adyashanti shows us how it is possible to see clearly that we are the un-moving awareness behind everything that has a beginning and an end.

This 3 and a half minute video has more wisdom then entire collections of books in describing the true nature of our reality.

In this 7 minute video, Rupert intelligently expresses his view on what is illusion and what is real.
