Rupert Spira Videos

In this 6 minute video from Rupert, he provides us with the correct understanding to help us deal with other people’s drama, even when they try to pull us into their drama. Very useful advice indeed!

This 6 minute video from Rupert Spira seems innocent enough at first, but upon review it reveals a massive truth explaining where the saying “Using a Thorn to Remove a Thorn” came from and what it means.

In this 7 minute video, Rupert expresses that there are 3 legitimate reasons for using thought and the mind and that pretty much all other thoughts are on behalf of an illusory self.  This provides a simple guide to help us identify the times when we may be getting lost in an illusory self and return our attention back to reality.

This 10 minute clip is part 4 of a 4 part interview with Rupert Spira which concludes that the Nature of Experience itself is Consciousness.  Anyone that is willing to take the time to take a closer look within can see this for themselves. There are three more parts to this interview.

In this 9 minute video, Rupert dives in to explaining that awareness only sees itself and therefore must transform itself into “other” in order to experience the subject/object relationship and have the ability to experience anything other than itself.  Sounds confusing, but Rupert describes the process in an understandable way….

In this 10 minute video,  Rupert takes us on the journey of creation of mind and matter.  In the process he also explains how infinite, unlimited awareness can take on the shape of limited awareness and how this creates the illusion of separateness.

In this very simple to understand video from Rupert, he describes suffering as a messenger that lets us know each and every time we have taken ourselves to be other than what we truly are. It is a way for the mind to tell us that we are taking ourselves to be a separate self that is unhappy with a particular situation, much like a toothache is designed by the body to tell us that we need to take care of that physical problem.  Brilliant!

In this 9 minute video from Rupert, he explains how a teacher or guru can help the “self” recognize itself (or Awaken).  His carefully worded answer to this common question also explains why some teachers prefer to help by providing guidance, initially regarded as dualistic, in order to provide “custom” pointings that are more meaningful to the individual.  Very interesting!

In this very short interesting clip of Deepak Chopra interviewing Rupert Spira, Rupert explains that there is NOTHING outside of consciousness and therefore the laws of physics may actually be the laws of consciousness.

In this 10 minute video, Rupert talks about the three stages of understanding starting with “I Am Something” to “I Am Nothing” to “I Am Everything” until finally one realizes that even “I Am Everything” is not true and what we are left with is something that can not be described by the mind.  That is why we keep hearing that what we are can not be described.

In this 7 minute video, Rupert takes us on another logical look at the dream state for Awareness versus the waking state and concludes that there is really no difference. For Awareness, all the different states are just a dream.

In this super short video by Rupert Spira, he explains that believing in Advaita or Non-Duality can often just be the ego masquerading as understanding.  The realization of the “Truth” is not about believing in anything but rather an inner realization that becomes the foundation for who/what we are. Very short video but extremely important to understand.

In this 11 minute video, Rupert goes into a fairly detailed description of how our feelings are created and how we can use this knowledge to dismantle the feelings into nothingness.

In this short seven minute video, Rupert explains how desire and fulfillment of desires work. He also explains a common misconception regarding the popular notion of manifesting desires.

In this 10 minute video, Rupert explains that the realization of our true nature has a direct effect on the body and mind and that sometimes the ego can try to appropriate the non dual teaching in order to perpetuate itself.  If gone unchecked, this can lead to the acceptance of our unhappiness as a normal function of awareness rather than finding the true cause of the unhappiness.
